Sync activity

The Sync page in the side drawer shows your Mind-sync events, from queue to delivery, across all devices and AI tools. The list is filtered to your own account's activity.

Open the side drawer and choose Sync to see the activity list. Select any row to open the Sync details panel, which shows the Mind, destination, Project, device, mode, version, and current phase of that sync. Use Load more at the bottom of the list to fetch earlier events. Choose Open Mind or Open Backup in the detail panel to navigate directly to that Mind or to the relevant backup entry.

Activity filters

Use the filter at the top of the list to narrow which sync events are shown:

FilterShows
AllEvery sync event regardless of status
In progressSyncs that are pending or currently applying (not yet overdue)
Needs attentionSyncs that failed, need recovery, or are confirmation overdue
HistoryCompleted, rolled back, and cancelled syncs

Each sync row shows the Mind name, tool, device, status, phase, and a timestamp. Use Refresh to pull the latest activity from the server.

Sync statuses

Every sync event moves through phases shown at the top of the detail panel: Queued → Applying → Confirmed. The event's status reflects its current point in that progression:

StatusWhat it means
QueuedWaiting for the destination device to pick up this sync.
ApplyingThe device has started this sync; waiting for confirmation.
CompletedThe device confirmed this Mind was applied.
CancelledThis request is no longer active. Its permission or destination may have changed, or a newer request replaced it.
FailedThis sync did not complete. Check its recorded outcome and destination before trying again from Mind.
Confirmation overdueThe device has not confirmed the result in time. Check the device and its recovery status.
Status unavailableThe server reported an unrecognized state. Use Refresh to check again.

A sync in Applying that passes its expiry time without a confirmation becomes Confirmation overdue and moves to the Needs attention filter.

Recovery needed and rolled back

Two additional outcome states appear when a sync cannot be confirmed safely:

Recovery needed means the sync could not be confirmed safely. Open the destination device to complete recovery. The macOS app on that device shows the steps needed to restore a known-good state. This event appears in Needs attention.

Rolled back means the device confirmed that the previous files were restored. No further action is needed unless you want to retry the sync from Mind. Rolled-back events appear in the History filter.

To address a Recovery needed event:

  1. Open the Sync page and select the event in Needs attention.
  2. Note the destination device shown in the detail panel.
  3. Open onemind on that device and follow any recovery prompts.
  4. After the device reports its result, use Refresh to update the activity list.

Unseen updates

When new sync status updates arrive while you are looking at another page, a badge appears on the Sync item in the side drawer. The badge shows up to three unseen status updates. Open the Sync page to clear the badge; it clears automatically once the page is visible.

If the server cannot be reached, the activity list retains the last received snapshot and shows: "Showing the last received activity. Updates are unavailable." The badge and any previously saved unseen notices are preserved through connection interruptions.
